🏫 Wait… what even was Colada College of G.Y.L.T.? (R.I.P.)
As you’re probably aware lol, I launched this newsletter last summer under the name Colada College of G.Y.L.T. (Getting Your Life Together).
I had a whole vision: lock-in-for-lecture vibes, glitter gel pen nostalgia, and cheeky lil “courses” offered like ADHDology, Badbitchography, and everything in between lol.
The problem? (well one of them anyway lol)
It was cute in theory and unclear in practice!
I don’t think many people actually even knew what we were doing here at this mysterious (but vibey!) “college” lol. Not even me some days.
Personally, I blame Neptune in Pisces!
But now?
Neptune’s in Aries, baby!
It’s time to get bold, clear, and unapologetically direct! 👉🏼

She’s not just a new name or an updated vibe…
She’s the whole new home base for everythinggg I’ve been quietly making (and hoarding😅) for years lol.
Think:
the type of flexible frameworks you might know me for, but more of them!
productivity hacks that don’t actively work AGAINST your ADHD brain!
and honestly, just the kinda stuff I’m not sure gets clicks on YouTube… like internet big sister pep talks about seeing yourself when others don’t get it, forgiving yourself for making messes and being “behind”, and how to hold your chaos without shame!
📝 Why I’m Recommitting to Substack (and you, of course!)
#1) You need class notes, not just lectures.
Don’t get me wrong — I love a good ADHD productivity video lol.
But sometimes you just want the actual hack, strategy, WHATEVER — spelled the f out, step-by-step, in writing!
ADHD brains neeeed a place to come back to, reference, and implement at their own pace.
This is that place.
#2) YouTube wants to play — and I’m tired tbh
Listen, a loooot of ADHD creators struggle with consistency. That struggle gets even harder when you put your all into a video just for the algorithm to get reaaal petty.
Even when I do upload, I get flooded with:
“Wait — how did I miss this?!”
…even from subscribers who’ve got their notifs turned on! 😡
I’m not saying I haven’t had a significant hand in this lol, but it sucks to lose contact with subscribers I care about.
I’m kinda tired of the clickable-thumbnail Olympics tbh. I just wanna make helpful stuff for people who wanna see it, you know what I mean?
Substack lets me do that — directly, on our terms. No middleman.
#3) You deserve deeper care!!
I love responding to you guys’ comments — like, full-on 5-paragraph pep talks kind of love 💌
But YouTube doesn’t reward that kind of care or intimacy. Substack does!
